Meet the School Director
Heidi Silvester began her journey at OICB as a student, graduating in 1999 before earning an Honours Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Plymouth. She returned to OICB to help grow the business and, in 2002, launched our award-winning sister company, The Skincare Clinic.
Alongside running the clinic, Heidi completed her teacher training, combining her academic background with hands-on expertise to build a thriving, student-focused career in education.
Since then, she has taught the full range of beauty therapy courses across all major examination boards, including body massage and epilation, and has served as a CIBTAC examiner and our in-house CIDESCO examiner. Her deep industry knowledge and business acumen have made her an invaluable mentor to both students and staff.
Now as School Director, Heidi oversees the day-to-day running of the college, managing our teaching and admin teams with a strong focus on care, quality, and student success. She is passionate about the life-changing opportunities a beauty qualification can offer and is dedicated to helping every student at OICB reach their full potential and pursue a fulfilling career in the beauty and spa industry.
