Admissions & entry requirements
At the Oxford International College of Beauty (OICB), we welcome both UK-based and international students. Whether you’re just leaving school or changing careers, we want to help you find the right course and guide you through the admissions process with ease.
General entry requirements
Education
- For Level 2 course.No formal qualifications are required, although GCSEs (or equivalent) are beneficial.
- For Level 3 courses. You may need to have completed a Level 2 Beauty qualification or relevant experience.
- For CIDESCO. Prior qualifications or significant industry experience may be required — see below.
Interview
A short interview with the Admissions or Course Lead may be part of the process.
Minimum age
16+ for Level 2, 18+ for most Level 3 and CIDESCO programmes.
International students
Education
As with UK students, requirements depend on the course level (see below). You may be asked to supply copies of school reports or previous qualifications.

English language
If English is not your first language, we require proof of English proficiency (typically IELTS 5.5 or equivalent)
Visa & funding
You must be able to fund your course and accommodation in full before you arrive. OICB does not currently sponsor student visas.
Course specific requirements
VTCT Level 2 Beauty Therapy
Ideal for beginners and school leavers.
- No prior experience required.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Strong interest in beauty therapy and commitment to learning.
OICB Level 3 Wellness & Holistic Therapy
Ideal for career changers and those interested in holistic/wellness treatments.

Experience in customer care or wellness industries helpful but not essential.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Willingness to work practically with clients.
CIDESCO Beauty & Spa Management Diploma
Ideal for ambitious learners seeking international qualifications.
- Must be at least 18 years old.

Strong academic ability and willingness to complete in-depth theory.

Interview and CIDESCO project submission required.

Must be able to dedicate 1-2 days per week home study.
