Getting started with a career in beauty
If you’re thinking about a future in beauty, this is a great place to start. Whether you’re into skincare, make-up, massage or nails, OICB (Oxford International College of Beauty) can help you turn that interest into real skills — and a job you’ll actually enjoy.
What do I need to apply?
You need to be:
- 16 or older.
- Interested in beauty, good with people, and ready to learn.
- Some courses ask for English and Maths GCSEs, but if you don’t have them, talk to us - we can still help you find a way in.
What will I learn?
You’ll be learning the kind of skills that employers actually want — and you’ll get to practise them for real.
- Facials and skincare.
- Massage and body treatments.
- Waxing and hair removal.
- Manicures and pedicures.
- How to work safely and professionally in a salon.
You’ll get to work with real clients in our student salon, with support from tutors who’ve actually worked in the industry.
What kind of jobs could I do?
Once you’re qualified, you could:
- Work in a beauty salon or spa.
- Start your own mobile beauty business.
- Work on cruise ships or in hotels abroad.
- Specialise in nails, brows or massage.
- Keep training and work your way into management or teaching.
Beauty is one of the few industries where you can start earning fast and build up your skills as you go.
